Retro needs a world pvp area

Did you already think of an area?

People thought AV was too big, but I honestly cant for the life of me think of a more suitable area. Especially considering the two respawn points (Stoneheart and Iceblood) are close to eachother. But alright.

The message system etc is fun but lets work out the basics first? Then start putting ornaments on the hood.

What area would suit this?

i have no idea really, the main thing is keep the groups small (3 men groups is awesome, 5men group is good also, but no more).
And also a npc reset cd + gold and token for the entire team after a kill.
Regarding the area we should pick something pretty big so the team can run away, hide from another team.
The shape of the area also kinda matter, we need something with enough place indeed.

Better have a too big than a too small.

Its all futile if you aint got a zone, or you'll get the wasteland that is Azshara.

Which imo they should expand on.

its not the area that will make the world pvp area a good thing or not, its the system of that area.
Unless you pick something with 90% of los or with 1% of los.

if you think azhara would have worked if the area had been different you are wrong btw

I made this post and updated it for all of us who would like a WPVP zone.. I picked AV because it's been made for PvP and I believe it would serve as a wonderful WPVP area!

It includes many unique concepts I came up with but I need everyone's feedback (please keep the criticism positive)
You don't need to agree with everything, it's just an idea that we can improve!

I think this would satisfy everyone (from starter to bis) who would like a zone to quest, kill raid encounters, farm (gold, mats, recipes), pvp and have fun !

Any idea of wpvp area is only gona work if is actual worth going there instead of easy farming gear/gold with raids/rfc,ci...
 
Azhara Crater is dead because players dont really NEED/WANT that place for gear/gold, make the rewards there very very good and players would be there farming and wpvping 24/7...

Wow players dont really do things ''just for fun'' util they are bis/rich, is all about getting gear and gold and than fun, so u got make sure the fun pvp/wpvp places got very good reward or you end up with a very boring ''pve server''...

Pvp here fail because is far worst than pve to gear up/get gold, if u want to have more active pvp/wpvp u got give very good reward from it or players are gona still play pve most of the time...
