Retro needs a world pvp area

First things first, RetroWoW needs more people. The more people we get, the better things will come naturally (like an actual AV match lol).

Just a consideration: fix,balance, and update the server.
I truly like this server, but the problem with private servers always revolves around the population. 7 months ago, I was able to join a full AB match frequently throughout the day. Now it's just premade wsgs. And I'm not really bitching about the premade part because I literally had the most fun the other night when I made a basically full huntard wsg premade. But it gets so blant and boring just doing wsg, and I know many others feel the same way. Like wouldn't all of you enjoy a frequent 40 man AV or AB? Something that acquires more than some unbalanced ass gear and class fcs.

The population was at one point 700-800 peak; it declined because of two reasons;

1. The only method of PvP is stacked BGs or a small-ass FFA arena

2. There's nothing to do once you hit endgame besides make bg's hell for the lower players.

A world PvP-based zone that was done properly like ChaosCrusade and AniWoW before it would attract a fuckton of people, because there is currently NO server that holds that niche and it attracts a LOOOOOOOOOOT of people in the past, as would it now. It's a very missed part of WoW, and my reddit post in /r/pservers proved it

Has the server done something like your suggestion ? If not, they should give it a go before the server goes to a complete circle jerk

From what I've heard they're either discussing putting something similar to my idea into action (AV Related) or it's already in the works.

Kelzo you think it's hard to make this happen in the area also :

1 - A bot (like the announce that say that warsong is open)  that say every 30min in world :

Sunqt killed 20 people in a row in "whatever the name of the area will be called".

And everytime somebody killed more people in a row than the previous one, the bot annouce him.
Now at some point it will be imposible to do more than someone after a while, so the bot can maybe reset 2 hours.


2 - A pannel a little bit like warsong one that shows who killed the more people but add also who dealt the more damage, and more heal, lets not forget the healer because we also want them to come

Those 2 ideas bring a little more challenge to the area, but i'm sure even without those 2 things it can be great so if it's too hard to script or too long nvm

Yea maybe put some berserker and sprint buff around the map, and health one aswell

I like the av wpvp idea, a av wpvp area could be open 24/7 without a queue, long ass queue for av on a small server are gona be awfull and we are gona get empty games all the time. One game is 20v20 the other game is 7v7 or something like that, just one wpvp av could get lag but they can always put a player limit on it and open another bg if the first gets full, but the fact we dont have to wait to get in would be great.

I remember ffa wpvp on age of conan, huge groups running around killing everyone outside they party, is like going to stv but your are playing on a 3 faction and horde and ally wants to kill u, plz make a wpvp area with faction, that would be much better.

The bot spamming about my death would be too much that the server population would rage quit.

The real reason a spamming bot is good is to avoid players farming each other for easy gold, i wonder how much gold/h someone would do if they farm each other on arena, 2 locks would be the best, both die from dots rez and die again, if anyone jumps in they attack the others
