lol
You're so excited you forgot your English. I'm at like a 7 because I don't really know if I want to play it. It could be great to play on something with little to no bugs but it may also be weird and not really classic like. Not sure.

My one colleague has already booked two weeks off starting on August 26th.
I'm definitely going to play Classic, how hardcore - that's to be determined. I've burned myself out raiding excessively which is why I eventually became a PvP focused player. That being said, I wouldn't mind being in a guild with 40-50 solid players who like to get shit done. Same colleague is going to be the guild master, he knows my experience so I basically just have to log-on and I'm set.

Hell you aren't even eligible for a Beta-Key unless you have an active sub, which I thought was scummy but again profits.

One time fee or $5/mo to only get access to it (and not retail), or $15 a month to get both seems like a win-win to a sane person hah.

If you're willing to fork over $180/year just to play classic, more power to you, give it a +10
Well, the content isn't new, they are recycling an old product and making bank off it. They have the back-end resources already, a stand-alone fee would make them their money back and then some.
The reason why they're keeping the subscription model is because they know it makes the most money.
